Enrich | Empower | Educate

Spectrum Family is a non-profit organization located in South Florida. We are committed to providing interactive community events that educate the public on evidence-based practices for working with neurodiverse populations, with a particular focus on autism and disabilities. Founded by Josefina Beyra, a mother and sister of individuals with autism, we are committed to empowering and strengthening families. After her son’s diagnosis she realized there was a great need for guiding families as they navigate the world of interventions, special education and services. As an experienced educator and passionate advocate for  the arts and community service, she has used her abilities to create an innovative approach to educating the public.

Our core belief at Spectrum Family, we believe that individuals with disabilities and their families deserve to live in communities where they are represented, feel understood, and are supported.

Through our interactive approach, we bring together local professionals who provide traditional and alternative services, as well as local community agencies that provide direct services, to engage with community members and share best practices related to autism and disabilities. By doing so, we hope to create a more inclusive and accepting society for all individuals with disabilities and their families, providing opportunities for them to reach their full potential.

Mission statement

Our mission at Spectrum Family is to bridge the gap between the autism community and the wider public by providing interactive community events that educate the public on evidence-based practices for working with neurodiverse populations, with a particular focus on autism and developmental disabilities.
